Andrea Tantaros' Career In Brief
Tantaros started her career working as a spokeswoman for Massachusetts Governor William Weld and then-Congressman Pat Toomey.
She commenced her work in Fox News Channel in April 2010 and contributed to her best as a political contributor. She successfully became a co-host of The Five in the year 2011.
As she joined The Five, it typically beat its challengers on MSNBC and CNN by 2013, and it prosperously became one of the preferred programs on television.
Likewise, in the year 2014, she worked as co-host in a program called Outnumbered. Due to some contract issues on Fox News, she was pulled from the very show.
In August 2016, Tantaros claimed the Fox News executives to tell them about the sexual harassment she faced by Roger Ailes. She was demoted from her post and fired from the network. She was not the only one who filed sexual harassment charges against Bill O'Reilly and Roger Ailes.
She filed a lawsuit against Fox News claiming that Bill O'Reilly, Dean Cain, and Scott Brown made the unsuitable comment to her and touched her without her assent.
O'Reilly settled a sexual harassment case for $32 million with a former legal analyst Lis Wiehl back in October 2017.
As per a reliable source, five women were paid a sum of $13 million for not speak a word against O'Reilly publicly. Men like O'Reilly get an easy come back in the network while women who face and speak about harassment lost their jobs.
Tantaros got demoted from her post on Fox News and ultimately got fired. It was the time when they were supposed to renew her contract but, unfortunately, everything fell apart.
Tantaros has always been on the side of victims of sexual harassment. Here's a short video on the very matter:
A federal judge dismissed the lawsuit filed by Tantaros against the Fox News. She allegedly stated that Fox News retaliated against her sexual harassment complaint.
During the dismissal, the judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York stated that the case was 'based primarily on speculation and conjecture'. He noted that Tantaros failed to adequately make out the basic elements of her claims.
