Almost got scammed!

Duane Chapman aka Dog The Bounty Hunter had himself into a fraud activity recently on August 8, 2019. Moreover, he nearly got fooled and almost lost $250,000 to these scammers.

The actual scenario is, Dog received a deal of $430,000 just to give a speech in an event in Dubai. It seemed real as he received an email from the deputy prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan's office. Furthermore, it offered Dog with $430,000 to speak at an economic empowerment convention on August 31.

Surprisingly, it looked genuine as the scammers planned it pretty well. They mailed a sophisticated contract with every required clause, including travel, taxes, and indemnity. Likewise, both the party agreed first, but things got weird after signing the deal.

The website that allows donating looked real. It caught the attention of Dog and his agent, but still, they further researched to figure out if it is genuine.

Dog's literary agent, Alan did the little investigation, calling the hotel listed on the website. It turned out; there was no such event. Furthermore, Dog and his agent were pretty much sure about the hoax when scammers asked for his personal account rather than his business account.

They even tried to find out who was involved in such activities. But, it turned out to be too hard to crack it and Dog who was once arrested for assaulting a teenager, decided to walk away, preventing a colossal loss.

The incident comes just after days of he was hit by a burglar who snatched his personal belongings from a store in Edgewater. Moreover, he and his late wife Beth Smith owned a store in the city which got robbed. His personal items, including his happily married wife Beth's belongings were stolen. Well, it seems like Dog is being targeted a lot recently as he has to deal with all the unfortunate happenings. Luckily, he did get trapped in the fraud activity and managed to escape it with his agent's support.
