NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo Was Hacked ! Learn the Details

If you saw some bizarre tweets from Bucks player Giannis Antetokounmpo yesterday, well you were not hallucinating.

On Thursday afternoon, there were more than eight tweets from Giannis Antetokoumpo's official twitter account in the span of a few minutes not only that the content of tweets was disturbing.

In one of those hacked tweets, the player claimed to have sex with Stephen Curry's wife, Ayesha Curry. In another one, he called Milwaukee Bucks a racist team. Similarly, he said nasty things about late Kobe Bryant and his teammate Khris Middleton.

After a while, these tweets were deleted. Fans were confused on what was happening. Thankfully, soon news outlet began reporting that the Antetokounmpo's Twitter account was hacked.

The news was later confirmed by Giannis' team Milwaukee Bucks and his brother and Lakers player Kostas Antetokoumpo. His brother even revealed that not only was Giannis' twitter account hacked, but his phone, email, and bank accounts were also hacked.

The same information was repeated by Giannis' girlfriend and mother of his one-month-old son,  Mariah Danae. 

Later in the evening, the four-times NBA All-Star himself addressed the whole situation after his account was restored. He wrote:

"I was hacked and the situation is currently being investigated. The tweets and posts were extremely inappropriate and I am so disappointed and disgusted that somebody would say the terrible things that were said! I feel terrible that the Bucks, Khris, LeBron, and the Curry family were included in the malicious and untrue tweets. I feel especially terrible for the Bryant family, during their time of grief they should not be subjected to this type of negativity and foul behavior."

Till now, there is no information about the hacker and the reason for targeting Giannis. Also, though it was reported his email and the bank account were hacked, it is not revealed if the hacker was able to steal any money or sensitive information.

This is not the first time famous people have been the victims of hacking. Earlier this year, Mariah Carey and Adam Sandler went through the same ordeal as that of  Giannis.
