Aisha Tyler, an American actress, author, producer, talk show host, writer, director, and comedian, is currently married to Jeff Tietjens since 1994. She was born to father Robin Gregory, a teacher, and mother Jim Tyler, a photographer. At the age of ten, her parents divorced and she grew up with her father. Tyler had an interest in comedy since she was a young. She graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in environmental policy. She first appeared on screen in with a small role on “Nash Bridges” as a reporter.
Aisha Tyler got married to lawyer attorney Jeff Tietjens on May 1994. They were college sweethearts. The couple was together for two decades, they could not have children for their own. In 2016, Tietjens filed for divorce from Tyler. The pair initially separated in January 2015. Tyler attended McAteer High School in San Francisco. She graduated from Dartmouth college in 1992 and she was a member of The Tabard, a co-ed fraternity.

Aisha Tyler started her professional career in 2001 as a TV host for Talk Soup and the reality-dating series The Fifth Wheel. She also acts, writes and directed the short movie, The Whipper.
Then she appeared in a number of TV series including Friends, CS: Miami and Nip/Tuck, MADtv; Ghost Whisperer; The Santa Clause 2, Balls of Fury and others.
Tyler has moved into print media as a regular contributor to magazines like Glamour, Jane and Entertainment Weekly. In 2009, she runs her own talk show pilot, The Aisha Tyler Show on ABC.
