Prentice then made his silver debuted in the 2011 independent comedy-drama film, Terri as Dirty Jack, alongside Jacob Wysocki, Creed Bratton, John C. Reilly, and many more.

After that, Prentice grabbed his first lead role as Cash Gallagher from the American Sitcom, Malibu Country. In the series, he shares the screen with Reba McEntire, Sara Rue, Justin Prentice, and many more.

"This is the South, so they're like, 'Just stand up to 'em! Tell 'em you're going to knock their teeth in, then you won't have a problem anymore.' I did that, and it worked, but that doesn't always work in real life."
