Early Life And Education Of Minnie Driver

Amelia Fiona "Minnie" Driver was born on 31 January 1970 in Marylebone, London, England. Her father, Charles Ronald Driver was the director of London United Investments. He was praised with the Distinguished Flying Medal for his role in the Battle of Heligoland Bight.

Her mother, Gaynor Churchward (née Millington) is a former model and fabric designer.

Her parents never tied the knot; instead, her father married another woman. Her parents parted ways when she was just six years of age. Minnie spent most of her childhood days in Barbados. She has two half-brothers; Charlie Driver from her father's marriage and Ed Churchward from her mother's another marriage.

Her father who died in 2009 at age 87 had a wife and children when he met her mother in the 1960s.

She studied at the Weber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. Later, she attended Collingham College in Kensington. She stands at a height of 5.83 feet (1.78m).

Minnie Driver's Career

Driver, 48 made her TV debut in 1991 performing in an advertisement for Right Guard deodorant. It was the same year she made her stage debut performing as a guitarist and jazz vocalist.

She had minor roles in Casualty, The House of Eliott and  Lovejoy and Peak Practice performing with Armando Iannucci and  Steve Coogan. She also appeared in small roles in Lovejoy, Peak Practice, The House of Eliott, and Casualty.

She landed in the lead role in Circle of Friends in 1995. Driver also worked in several animated features. She gave her voice in Disney's 1999 version of Tarzan. The same year she gave Lady Eboshi's voice in English -dubbed Japanese movie Princess Mononoke.

Minnie Driver's Personal Life

In 2001, she was engaged to American actor Josh Brolin before they broke up the same year. She gave birth to a son Henry Story Driver on 5 September 2008 but kept the identity of his father a secret until 2012.

The father of her son, the TV writer and producer Timothy J. Lea left her and ended the relationship when she found out that she was pregnant. She met the man while appearing on series The Riches. She's now raising her baby boy being a single mother.

In October 2016, she revealed that she had been sexually assaulted at 17 during a holiday in Greece.

She's currently in a relationship with boyfriend Neville Wakefield. They have been going on strong for more than three years since meeting for the first time in January 2015 in Los Angeles.

Driver was spotted with a gold band on her ring finger as she headed for lunch with her beau at Maura Cafe inside Fred Segal in West Hollywood. 

Wakefield and Driver are going on strong in their relationship. She was romantically linked with several of her co-stars in past including John Cusack and Matt Damon.
