Singer Dolly Parton Awarded Two Guinness World Records
The iconic singer, actress, and entrepreneur Dolly Patton has set two Guinness World Records, Most hits on the US Hot Country Songs chart by a female artist, and Most decades with a Top 20 hit on the US Hot Country Songs chart. The Guinness World Records Association recently visited Dolly in Nashville to present her with the two titles. She is the only country artist who has a Top 20 hits in six consecutive decades since the 1960s to 2010s.

The Guinness World Records Association recently visited Dolly in Nashville to present her with the two titles. She is the only country artist who has a Top 20 hits in six consecutive decades since the 1960s to 2010s. The Association announced it through a tweet on 18 January.

Singer George Jones came close to the record who had charted from the 1950s onwards, however, was able to make the impact on the top 20 in just five of the seven decades.
The 72-year-old legend had a short conversation with the association where she said,
To receive these two Guinness World Records is so great. Joining so many wonderful singers and songwriters who have been honored this way feels so special to me.
She continued,
You never know when you start out with your work how it's going to turn out, but to have these two world records makes me feel very humbled and blessed.
The Tennessee native singer has been credited with 74 Top 20 hits including a newer version of her 1974 classic Jolene-debuted at No. 18 on the chart in 2016.
