Catelynn Lowell And Tyler Baltierra: Their Married Life And Children

Who says you cannot find your soulmate at the young age? Catelynn and Tyler started dating in the seventh grade when they were studying at the same high school. When a friend asked about his relationship, Tyler explained, 

“I have loved her since the moment I saw her. Her punk rocker hair and attitude matched perfectly for my edgy, hyper personality. I asked her why she fell in love with me. You could always make me laugh."

Catelynn's mother April and Tyler's father Butch (both single at the time) ended up marrying, making Catelynn and Tyler stepsiblings. The couple, however, continued their relationship.  

 

Catelynn found out about her pregnancy at the age of 16 and Tyler was there to support her. Because of the lack of financial support and parenting skills, they had to give their daughter for adoption. According to the source, "Catelynn found the idea of giving her baby up for adoption scary, but the prospect of parenting even scarier.

While talking about adoption, she said:

"I want my daughter to have a chance at life. I just don't want her to be raised the way that she's going to be raised."

Catelyn's first daughter was born in 2010, but unfortunately, Catelyn had to make a hard decision of giving her child for adoption. Brandon and Theresa adopted her both children (a daughter she gave birth to and a son she adopted).  

Catelynn met her daughter and adopted son several times during the shows, but the proper reunion finally happened after ten years in an episode of Teen Mom OG.

Catelynn and Tyler, later on, welcomed their second child Novalee Reign Baltierra on Jan 1, 2015. Just weeks before the birth of their child, Tyler surprised his baby mother with a beautiful engagement ring.

"She's the best thing that has ever happened to me," Baltierra wrote on Instagram a few days before Christmas. "She's everything I want that I never knew I needed. She's the most selfless, kind hearted woman that I'm lucky enough to call mine."

The duo tied the knot on August 22, 2015, at Castle Farms in Charlevoix, Mich. Teen Moms stars Maci Bookout, and Amber Portwood also attended the wedding. 

Catelynn's Postpartum Depression, Anxiety, And Suicidal Tendencies

After the birth of their second child, Catelynn suffered from severe postpartum depression and anxiety and spent a month in treatment.

"I decided I needed to get help from talking with Tyler and realizing that I maybe needed something more intense for myself," she told MTV News that September. "For some reason, I just had a lightbulb moment where I was like, 'Maybe I need extra help."

She even from the suicidal tendencies and tweet about her condition.

Later on, she shared a picture of her tattooed arm "My story isn't over yet" Tyler supported her emotionally by praising her bravery to speak up about her issues.

Although filming Catelynn's treatment wasn't allowed as per the facility's rules. Six weeks later she returned home from treatment but whether she is fully recovered or not is not known since she is visiting the rehab multiple times.
