The newly engaged couple started seeing each other in 2013 when Lauren was still married to millionaire real estate developer ex-spouse Andrew Silverman. Andrew introduced her to Simon in 2006 in Barbados.

Simon and Lauren have one child together, Eric, born on Valentine's Day in 2014. The lady is also a mother to a son, Adam, from her previous marriage. Both Andrew and Lauren share joint custody of Adam.
