Early Life and Education of Elisabeth Röhm

Elisabeth Röhm was born on April 28, 1973, in Düsseldorf, West Germany, to Lisa Loverde and Eberhard Röhm. Her father was a German-born partner at the law firm of New York and mother was an American scriptwriter. Due to her father's job, her family relocated to New York City after the actress's first birthday.

Röhm was just 8 when her parents divorced. She attended St. Andrews-Sewanee School. Later, she graduated from Sarah Lawrence College, majoring in European History with minors in theater and writing. She fluently speaks German.

Elisabeth Röhm's Career

Elisabeth Röhm started her acting career in 1997 in the American soap opera, One Life to Live as Dorothy Hayes. She got her major breakthrough in 1999 in the TV series, Angel starring David Boreanaz, Charisma Carpenter, Alexis Denisof, and others.

Then Röhm appeared in a number of TV series such as Bull, Law & Order, Stalker, American Hustle and others. As of 2018, she is busy filming for her next venture, Fair and Balanced which will be released in 2019. 

Rohm released her first novel, "Nerissa" in 2009 which was commercially successful. In 2011, she launched her next novel, "Desire". She also wrote an unpublished novel about a young girl of 21 whose husband committed suicide.

Elisabeth Röhm is engaged to her fiancee, an entrepreneur, Ron Wooster in 2007. The duo shares a daughter, Easton August Anthony, born on April 10, 2008, in Los Angeles. The couple is yet to marry.

Previously, Röhm was engaged to director Austin Smithard in 2000. After their split, she exchanged rings with MSNBC reporter Dan Abrams in 2003 but due to some personal differences, the couple called off their engagement in 2005. 

Rohm loves collecting painting. In 2002, she was enlisted in "Hot 100" by Maxim Magazines, voted one of the most watchable women in entertainment.

Elisabeth Röhm was a longtime avid equestrienne but gave up equestrianism after she faced an accident in 2005 which she revealed in 2011 in an episode of the Biography Channel series Celebrity Close Calls.
