Are Greta Gerwig & Noah Baumbach Married?

To cut the chase, the beautiful actress i.e. Greta Gerwig isn't married to her long-term boyfriend, Noah Baumbach, at least not yet. Mr. Baumbach is also best known as the writer and director of Netflix's' hit drama, Marriage Story co-starring Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver. Whilst it's not known whether the fans might get to hear the wedding bells soon, the couple appears to be satisfied with their relationship as it is.

But, here's how their love story began. Gerwig and Baumbach first met whilst working on Greenberg, the film Noah wrote alongside his then-wife; Jennifer Jason Leigh, and directed. Jennifer ironically co-starred Greta in the film as Beth. 

Greta, however, didn't affect their marriage or divorce. Truth be told, Gerwig only started dating Baumbach after 2011, following the divorce of the film director and Jennifer. But, of course, the couple didn't confirm their relationship until a couple of years later after having worked in multiple films. Not to mention, they didn't make their first public appearance until 2018.

Gerwig also shares a son named Harold Baumbach with Noah. The two welcomed Harold in March 2019. The mother-son duo appeared on the Vogue cover in 2019. Besides, Gerwig's boyfriend shares a son named Rohmer Emmanuel Baumbach with his former wife.

Partner In Crime 

After Greenberg, Greta, and Noah then collaborated on Frances Ha, a comedy-drama film where the actress plays the lead character. The film released in 2013 earned positive comments and praise from the public.

The couple then worked on Mistress America, another hit comedy film, which also features Greta, who also produced the film, in the role of Brooke Cardinals. Noah directed the film.

Additionally, Greta is proud of having a partner she can work with professionally too. Although she forgot to thank her beau during her award acceptance speech at the Golden Globes Awards where she took home the prize of Best Comedy, we all can understand the gratitude she holds for her Mr. Baumbach.

Film director and actor of many critically acclaimed films, Greta debuted in Hollywood with her roles in LOL. Since then she contributed to several notable projects such as 20th Century Women, No Strings Attached, Arthur, Lola Versus, Nights and Weekends, Isle of Dogs, To Rome with Love, The House of the Devil, Damsels in Distress, Wiener-Dog, The Dish & the Spoon and Side By Side.

For her work on Little Women featuring Emma Watson, Timothee Chalamat, and Meryl Streep, a director, Gerwig earned several awards and nominations including the Critics Choice Awards for Best Director.
