After Tom Hanks, Idris Elba is Another Big Hollywood Star to be Coronavirus Positive
On March 16, 2020, English actor and DJ Idris Elba revealed that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
The "Luther" star on Monday sent out a tweet which wrote:
"This morning, I tested positive for COVID-19. I feel OK, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus," the actor captioned a video announcement. "Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I'm doing. No panic."

Alongside the tweet, the 47-year-old, Elba, shared a two-minute video where he is seen alongside his wife, Sabrina Dhowre. In the video, the actor revealed that he quarantined himself from Friday after learning the fact he was in contact with someone who is tested positive.
Though the 'Thor" star did not name the person from whom he might have contracted the virus, however speculations are going that the unnamed person can be Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau.
Elba and Mrs. Trudeau were in attendance at WE Day Charity event in London. Furthermore, the pair even posed together for a picture.
Idris, who is a dual citizen of Britain and Sierra Leonean, revealed that though he is tested positive, no symptoms are seen in him yet. Also, his wife, Sabrina, is, however, to be tested.
The Golden Globe Nominated actor reinstated that the virus is severe, and now is the time for social distancing and washing hands. Also, the actor reminded the public that though we live in a divided world right now, but we must be united and fight the disease.
Elba's video has already over 22.2 million views, and fans and celebrities from all around the world are sending him best wishes. Stars such as Ellen DeGeneres, John Cusack, Halle Berry, Viola Davis has also already commented in his post.
Idris is not the only celebrity that revealed COVID-19 diagnosis this week. On Monday, "Games of Thrones" star Kristofer Hivju who is best known for playing the character of Tormund Giantsbane, announced on Instagram that he is tested positive for Coronavirus.
In the video, The GOT star further stated that he and his wife Gry Molvær Hivjuare are self-isolating at home for as long as it takes.
Coronavirus, after affecting thousands of people around the world it finally at the doorstep of Hollywood A-listers. The news of Idris and Hivjuare came in the heels of the news of Tom Hanks. The "Toy Story" actor on 12 March 2020 opened that he and his wife, Rita Wilson, are tested positive for COVID-19.
