Karen McDougal was born in Merrillville, Indiana, near Gary, on March 23, 1971. She belongs to American nationality and is of Mixed ethnicity (Cherokee Indian and Irish descent). When McDougal was 9, her mother, Carol McDougal, remarried after which the family moved to Sawyer, Michigan.
