Early Life and Education

Marlon Wayans born Marlon Lamont Wayans on 23rd July 1972 in New York City, New York under the birth sign Leo. Wayans is American as per his nationality and as far as his ethnicity is concerned, he is African-American.

Wayans is the son of Elvira Alethia (a homemaker and social worker) and Howell Stouten Wayans (a supermarket manager). He is youngest of his ten siblings- Shawn Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Damon Wayans, Dwayne Wayans, Kim Wayans, Elvira Wayans, Nadia Wayans, Diedra Wayans, and Vonnie Wayans.

Wayans attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York City. Later, he attended Howard University in Washington, D.C.

Career

Marlon Wayans made his Hollywood debut in 1988 from the movie, I’m Gonna Git You Sucka. Wayans appeared with Keenen Ivory Wayans, Chris Rock, Antonio Fargas, and Bernie Casey, among others.

In 1991, Wayans debuted in the TV series, The Best of Robert Townsend & His Partners in Crime. Prior to this, he portrayed Robin in 1992’s movie, Batman Returns by Tim Burton. 

Wayans' other works include Mo’ Money, Above the Rim, The 6th Man, Senseless, and Six Degrees among others. His notable works include:

Personal Life

Marlon Wayans was married to Angelica Zachary in 2005 in a small ceremony. It was the first marriage for both of them. The couple dated since 2001 before getting married.

The couple together had two children, Amai Zackary Wayans and Shawn Howell Wayans.

The couple divorced after few months of their relationship due to their irreconcilable differences. Even after their separation, they came together for the sake of their children. The couple also promised to remain good friends for life long.
